~ La verdad nunca me ha conmovido ningún político. No porque haga eco del eslogan de que son todos "corruptos y mentirosos" (argumento que nos puede ahorrar algún grado de reflexión, pero que es una evidente falacia), sino más bien porque no creo que esté en manos de una sola persona cambiar mucho las cosas. Pero eso era hasta que llegó Obama. Es que el tipo es realmente inspirador, tanto que quiero creer que en sus manos está la posibilidad de un mejor futuro para el Mundo. Si Bush representaba lo peor del comportamiento histórico del los Estados Unidos, la prepotencia y la ambición; Obama representa lo mejor, las ideas de libertad, democracia y oportunidad. Me gusta creer que es así, y hay base para tal creencia en cuanto atendemos, más allá del anecdótico dato de su raza, a su visión y actitud ante la realidad de problemas de su país y del Mundo. Ojalá no se lo echen.Me encantan los primeros párrafos de su discurso de celebración:
